We have eliminated practically all single use plastic consumption on all our vessels
ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION PROJECTS
We have sponsored beach clean ups and workshops to raise awareness and educate on caring for the marine environment with Oceánidas and Ecomar.
WE ARE PAPER FREE
We contribute to reducing paper usage.
We provide our passengers with online boarding passes, as well as the option of paperless boarding (boarding with DNI/passport directly) and use unbleached FSC certified paper.
REDUCTION IN CO 2 EMISSIONS
We use fluoropolymer paints on the hulls of all our ships, reducing the use of fossil fuels
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS
We are working to raise environmental awareness among all Naviera employees, incentivising their collaboration in any type ofaction related to recycling or beach clean ups.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PRODUCTS
All products used for laundry are environmentally friendly.
ELIMINATION OF PLASTICS
We have removed plastic bottles from all our ships, substituting them for tetra-paks. All our on board amenities are also plastic-free.
REMOVAL OF POLLUTING GASES
We have implemented a plan to install Exhaust Gas Scrubbing Systems to contribute to the complete elimination of complete elimination of pollutant gases on all our routes, releasing gases free from environmentally harmful substances into the atmosphere.
AND IN THE FUTURE... WHAT?
Naviera ARMAS TRASMEDITERRÁNEA remains committed to the fight against global warming, and our environmental goals for the coming years focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere by means of innovative gas purification systems, hydrodynamic improvements and minimising the use of fossil fuels. As well as this, we aim to reduce the consumption of raw materials and amount of waste generated.
Thanks to all these actions, we have achieved certification with the Carbon Footprint, Offsetting, and CO2 Absorption Projects Registry of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
