HÉCTOR ROJAS RIVERO

Passenger Sales Manager

Héctor Rojas Rivero, a Passenger Sales Manager at the group with a long history at Naviera Armas Trasmediterránea, works in our sales department and has a strong commitment to customer service. His career began when he started an internship at the Passenger Service Department at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife branch, which he remembers as a period of growth and constant learning.

What has it been like to develop your professional career at Naviera Armas Trasmediterránea? How did you begin?

I would say that every moment of my experience has been enriching and full of challenges. That was the case on the first day of my professional career in 2008 at the Passenger Attention Department in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Later, in 2009, I joined the workforce to fill a vacancy in the Passenger Service Department at the Los Cristianos branch. After three months I was offered the chance to join the sales department at the same branch, a challenge that I accepted and took on with great motivation. In 2012, I went back to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where I joined the Sales Department.

What are the main challenges faced by employees in the Sales Department?

Our main objective is to offer a quality service; the customer’s experience begins at the counter. As such, we should offer the best prices and services on board to ensure that we are our customers’ first choice as a shipping line. At the sales department we work to achieve these objectives.

What do you believe has been your greatest achievement so far?

My greatest achievement was when, after a long career in the passenger service department, the company placed its trust in me to take on a position of greater responsibility in the sales department. My professional journey was guided by values such as discipline, perseverance and constant hard work.

What do you most appreciate about working for Naviera Armas Trasmediterránea?

What I most appreciate about working for this company, which I’ve become very attached to as I have grown so much professionally and personally here, are the close personal relationships. I have always felt very supported by all my colleagues at Naviera Armas Trasmediterránea.
